Hamilton hog bristle brush v Corona Morro

(Andy Crichton) #1

Don’t bring a knife to a gun fight.

To be fair to Hamilton Acorn, the brush pictured on the left is a new revision of the Acorn 27, which is not one of their best hog bristle brushes.

To be fair to Corona, the Morro is their best hog bristle brush.

Corona do an even finer ox/hog mix for stains and varnishes.

If you are serious about doing the best work, source the best brushes, and it is hard to make a case that that involves a trip to Hamilton any more.

Thanks to decorator Tony for sending the top image. He purchased his Corona via TP Trade Corner http://traditionalpainter.com/corona-brush-uk
