High end specification for exterior wooden windows

(Andy Crichton) #1

This is a question I received from a regular reader

Hi Everyone

Thanks for providing such an informative website I really enjoy the articles, so varied and instructive.

Perhaps someone there can offer me some advice on what they think would be the best system to paint rather poor quality timber in my own property.

I have tried all the usual suspect, but I am rapidly falling out of love with the current oil based paint provided by Crown and Dulux .The waterbased system known as Aquashield seems ok but since I would like the finish to last, would appreciate views on if there are better systems availableā€¦Keep up the good work

Regards

Jeff
