How do people deal with small runs in paint

(darlic) #1

Well quite important if you care about your attention to detail, this problem can occur when painting doors,i use owatrol oil paint conditioner,or white spirit to help paint flow better, what alternative do you have when you do a job, then come back next day notice a small drip, maybe use a stanley knife try to cut out, then touch in,or most sensible way brush out before drys, any help appreciated

Well I suppose the obvious answer is not to get drips in the first place  Seriously though, I only ever use WB paints which means any careless drips are going to form within a couple of minutes. With WB don’t try and brush them if the paint’s been there more than a minute. Wet a finger and gently smooth the drip down. Won’t work everytime but better than sanding a day later and repainting.
