Masking fluid

(Andy Crichton) #1

Continuing the discussion from Painting tips!:

There was a suggestion that if you have no masking tape for protecting surfaces from paint, you could use vaseline instead. Yuk!

I am not claiming to be the inventor of this idea, or the leading practitioner for using artist’s latex masking fluid in decorating scenarios, but I know a man who does use this product to keep paint off of glass where masking tape might seem impractical.

This is a video of what artist’s masking fluid can do and a few different applicators. She knows her stuff and I am sure you can see a pot of this in the tool box would be practical, albeit in limited situations.

Thinking caps on, folks!

I am thinking knobbly glass for one!
