Tilt and Swing Windows

(Nick Featherstone) #1

I know there’s a textbook sequence for painting sliding sash windows, but is there anything similar for tilt and swing? You’d think you could just swing them round and do it all from indoors, but you can’t get to the sides; you also can’t easily get to everything from outside, and you can’t open them without going inside to press the catch. It must be a nightmare if it’s a client’s windows, and you need to go galloping up and down their stairs every 5 minutes!
Then there’s all those levers everywhere, I’m finding the 1" ultra thin Fox is great for getting between them, but I may have to buy a 3/4" one to see if it’s better!
